Are You Drinking Enough Water?

What kind of water do you drink? The question of how to respond to COVID-19 can spark less debate in many places! “Never tap,” “only spring water,” “oh no, purified water is the only choice,” “absolutely not, distilled water,” “but what about reverse osmosis?” “I only drink electrolyte enhanced water.” While everyone has their personal preference, the debate rages on while the fundamental issue is ignored. Most of us are dehydrated – and, severely dehydrated at that. What I’ve learned in my decades-long practice as a massage therapist is that it’s not what kind of water, it’s how much water that it truly important. As a nation we are not drinking enough water. There are some wonderful water intake calculators available online. Here’s a link to one I’d recommend using. You can even find ones that will help you calculate the amount of water you should drink in a day when factoring in exercise and alcohol intake. So stop arguing and start drinking – water, that is!
