Take Care, Part 1

ree

I’ve told clients for years to “take care.” I’m very mindful with the words I choose, and I have a specific purpose in speaking this phrase to clients. “Take” is active. Your mom took care of you as a baby, then family, teachers and so on, but at some point you grew into an adult capable of taking care of yourself. Here is the blunt truth. The only person who will take care of you is you. Your partner, family, friends and government/community may assist, but at the end of the day, your health and well-being is up to you. You are the only one who can put the fork down, go exercise, drink water, stretch, and receive holistic body work, whether massage, stretch, cranial sacral therapy, or lymphatic drainage. Therefore, you are in charge of you. What are you going to do?
